Penny Young Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America (CWA), is a recognized national authority on cultural, children’s, and women’s issues. As the CEO and President of the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, Nance oversees more than 500,000 participating CWA members across the country, over 450 Prayer/Action Chapters and Home teams, 23 Young Women for America (YWA) Chapters, and 600 trained leaders, and is also the president of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) and Concerned Women for America Political Action Committee (CWPAC) and serves as the principal spokesperson for all three entities.
Named as one of the top four most powerful pro-life female voices by the Christian Post, Nance stands as a leader on the issue of pro-life messaging and policy. She is a weekly political commentator and a popular speaker at national events. Nance appears on all major television networks –– ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX News, C-SPAN, MSNBC, and CNN –– as a commentator on contemporary events and as an expert on domestic issues. She has been featured in numerous publications, including the New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and serves as a Christian Post Senior Advisor.
Nance most recently served as President of Nance and Associates and as Special Advisor for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where she advised the Chairman and the Commissioners on media and social issues. In this capacity, she served as a liaison and provided outreach to Congress, public interest groups, and industry leaders. Mrs. Nance’s key responsibilities centered on the protection of children, including broadcast indecency and the media task force on childhood obesity.
Before joining the FCC, Mrs. Nance was the founder and President of the Kids First Coalition; a non-profit organization focused on educating Capitol Hill, the media, and the public on a variety of issues related to children.
Prior to founding Kids First Coalition, Mrs. Nance worked for five years as Legislative Director for Concerned Women for America. She has also consulted for other non-profit organizations, including Prison Fellowship Ministries, the Center for Reclaiming America, and the Christian Music Industry. She served on the Capitol Hill Staff of Congressman Pat Swindall (R-Georgia).
Nance oversees CWA’s multi-issue agenda, which includes protecting and supporting the Biblical design of marriage; protecting the sanctity of human life; reforming public education by returning authority to parents and making accessible alternative forms of education; ending sexual exploitation by fighting all forms of pornography, obscenity, prostitution, and sex trafficking; defending religious liberty by supporting the God-given rights of individuals in the U.S. and other nations; endorsing national sovereignty through supervision of United Nation’s efforts and budget restraint embodying responsible spending; and supporting Israel and the Jewish people.

Mrs. Nance is the wife of Will Nance and the mother of two children. She is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
