Lisa Kratz Thomas’ life is nothing short of a miracle. She went from the crack house to the State House, serving on a Senate Sub-committee. Her story has shaped her into a dynamic, sought after, speaker and author whose testimony is not only compelling but genuinely inspirational. She believes that there is hope for every life, and loves sharing that hope with others.
Carrying the shame of abortion she spiraled into the depths of drug addiction, alcohol abuse and even prostitution on the streets of our nation’s capital, Lisa found herself incarcerated. For many, that would be the end of the story but not Lisa; she entered a Twelve Step recovery program and turned her life over to God.
Upon release, Lisa worked diligently to overcome guilt, shame, and remorse. She went on to found a nonprofit organization that provided hope and resources to disenfranchised women who were re-entering society from incarceration, birthing her book, Overcoming Obstacles of Re-entry. As a radio talk show host, Lisa continued to share resolve, rebirth, and redemption. Her book, This Is Your Life – Not A Dress Rehearsal, illustrates the overcoming power of steadfastness and faith.
She has penned three books, founded a nonprofit organization, and was a radio talk show host, helping people to conquer adversity and transform their lives. Today Lisa travels the country speaking at prisons, churches, rehabs, schools, with businesses and corporations and at fundraising events encouraging others to use their adversity as an advantage.
Lisa’s newest book, Light In Our Darkness, written with former radio co-host Kathy Gray, is an outstanding must-read. It tackles the pervading question, "why are some lives deemed throwaway while others are cherished?"
Lisa Kratz Thomas’ life story will ignite the flames of possibility in us all and spur us onward to awaked previously unimaginable opportunities.
"When it comes to the issue of life Lisa speaks straight from the heart. Her style is honest, impassioned and captivating. Lisa’s ability to transparently share her personal tragedy and her message of life change was the perfect message for our fundraising event. If you are looking for a speaker to motivate your audience, Lisa is your speaker!"
"We had the honor of having Lisa Kratz Thomas as the keynote speaker at our fundraising Gala this year. Lisa's address was highly engaging, and much of the feedback centered on how moved our audience was by her testimony. She did a tremendous job, and we would HIGHLY recommend Lisa for your event."
"I know many will relate to Lisa’s presentation which includes how women were sold the lie of “my body, my choice” - still perpetuated by the abortion industry today. Especially moving was Lisa’s testimony of how difficult it was to forgive herself for past abortions and to continue to the journey toward healing. I am thankful for Lisa’s courage to share her life story, the consequences she endured along the way and the blessings that come from a relationship with our Savior. I don’t remember a longer line at the end of the program to meet Lisa, share words of encouragement and to purchase her book! All life is precious and irreplaceable!"

"I was captivated by Lisa's story and her ability to overcome addiction. She is a natural communicator and an inspiring picture of transformation."
