Holly Marie has always had an intensely strong sense of the value of family. For Holly, one of the great thrills of writing this book and participating in the media interviews to publicize her story has been sharing the experience with her newfound extended family. She lives with her husband, Troy, and their precious children and grandchildren in a small town in Oklahoma.
Holly has held a wide variety of jobs: a restaurant server, factory packaging assembler, gas station worker, bread baker, and powdered milk mixer. After earning her associate’s degree in accounting at Moraine Park Technical College in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, she worked in an accounting firm, became a tax preparer, and served in the accounting office at a furniture store. She particularly appreciates two faithful bosses who shined God’s light on her path and that of her family. “They are like family to me,” she says. Holly thinks of herself as a prayer warrior and hopes that sharing her story will inspire others to trust in God’s greatness and wait on Him to answer our prayers.
