Our Story:  Carol’s from Boston. Jim’s from North Carolina.  We met in Houston. We were checking each other out in the mirror at a Bible study, til our eyes suddenly met in the mirror.  Whoo.  We dated four years, got engaged twice and everyone was so happy when we finally got married in 1992.

We each have our own story of brokenness and healing. During those early years God was preparing us to speak into marriages and lives by going through the school of hard knocks and coming out on the other side. Grace of God. The Lord also blessed us with two sons who keep life an ever new adventure.

Why did we start Acts of Renewal?  Since our relationship with Jesus Christ is the number one priority in our lives, it made a lot of sense to use our talents doing professional theatre from a Christian world view. After grad school we began touring, performing at conferences, speaking at colleges and church events.

When PBS aired Carol’s one woman show on eating disorders, God used it to open up doors in our ministry. Our style of being real with our audiences and using comedy theatre for both entertainment and visual learning has proved to be a winning combination. So we continue to create programming for God to use to reach hearts for him. We now live in Kentucky and our sons Zach and Zander are just launching. So touring, teaching, parenting and forever learning keeps us full to overflowing with life.
