Rick Warren is the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, one of America’s largest and best-known churches. He and his wife, Kay, began the church with one family in 1980. Today the church averages 23,000 in attendance each weekend on its 120 acre campus and lists over 80,000 names on the church roll. The church has also started 34 daughter churches, inspired thousands of other new churches to be started, and sent nearly 5,000 of its members on mission projects around the world.
