Strategies that teachers can use to facilitate teaching and children can use to facilitate learning will be explained and modeled. Motivation, comprehension, retention, and application can all improve when strategies and skills from all eight studying categories are modeled, taught, and used. Have a Very Mary and Joseph Christmas!
This Christmas, even more than usual, I’m pondering Mary’s words and Joseph’s actions. Mary, as the mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ, participated in one of the most important miracles ever performed. Scholars have determined she was just 13- or 14-years-old when the angel visited her to give her the news she would give birth to the long-awaited Savior. She was surprised but answered the angel humbly. Mary didn’t question. She didn’t debate. She didn’t reject God’s call. She didn’t need lots of information. No, she humbly voiced, “Let it be.” Joseph’s response was very similar. I want to be more like Mary and Joseph. Do you?
The Mind Styles assessment and training will cause you to grow personally and professionally. Adults from all generations consistently report that this day has much more explanatory power than the DISC, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® personality assessment, strength finders, and related inventories. Plus, the day is relaxed and refreshing and full of many ah-ha moments that clarify things from the past and increase success for today and tomorrow.
Your Mind Style explains how you relate to people and tasks and how you process thoughts and feelings. You’ll gain new insights into why you prefer what you prefer, why some things are easy and hard, why people do things the way they do, and why you occasionally have conflicts with others.
In addition to learning much that will benefit general relationships and team building, Mind Styles has been used by God to heal marriages and relationships between parents and adult children and teens. Like much of Mind Styles, its relationship power is hard to explain until you experience it. You’ll learn who to put on teams together and whose input to get for certain reasons. You’ll learn how to handle conflict wisely. This is one of the best team building experiences you’ll ever have.
You will be able to make applications to a variety of issues such as leading, communicating, teaching, learning, decision making, selling, marketing, publicity, and writing. You’ll learn more about how to appeal to all people and all parts of their minds, so you’re understood, and people will more successfully remember and apply ideas.
Your Mind Style will help you see your strengths, challenges, preferences, and goals in a new light. You can learn how to shift and work from whatever part of your mind will allow you to be successful for different tasks and people. This is extremely freeing and empowering. This is one of the best self-discovery trainings you’ll ever experience. In each training, some who attend report truly understanding, valuing, and liking themselves for the first time. Of course, this benefits them personally. But, now they can also be more effective team members.
Because of this training, you’ll know how to communicate to all four parts of people’s minds. You’ll learn what questions each part of the mind wants answered and what information must be included when teaching and writing so that every person gets it. This is one of the best and unique communication trainings you’ll ever have.
