Woman Pregnant With Twins Takes Abortion Pill, Pro-Life Doctor Saves Them Before They Die
Woman Pregnant With Twins Takes Abortion Pill, Pro-Life Doctor Saves Them Before They Die

In the 11 years since Abortion Pill Reversal was launched by pro-life physicians George Delgado and Matt Harrison, abortion advocates have tried their best to discredit the life-saving protocol.

But just last week, the regimen received another validation of its safety and legitimacy following the presentation of Dr. William Lile—a board-certified ob-gyn who serves as the referral physician for three local pregnancy help centers—before a Florida hospital’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).

The remarkable event that brought Lile before the board was his role in helping a woman reverse her abortion, saving not one baby, but two; his patient was pregnant with twins.

Silence Is Not Spiritual: The Evangelical #MeToo Movement

On Wednesday, as ten thousand members of the Southern Baptist Convention gathered outside the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, in downtown Dallas, for the denomination’s annual conference, about two dozen women stood on faded grass nearby. They carried white banners with black-and-blue-lettered slogans, such as, “Calling Women to Preach Since the First Easter Morning,” and “I Can Call It Evil Because I Know What Goodness Is.” They were there to represent a protest movement, which includes such groups as #SilenceIsNotSpiritual and #ChurchToo, and has the potential to transform evangelicalism, by pressing churches to condemn domestic abuse, training pastors in caring for victims, and allowing women to assume positions of leadership.

Among the demonstrators was Autumn Miles, a thirty-seven-year-old evangelical leader and domestic-abuse survivor. Miles, who has a cascade of tousled hair that she describes as “fluorescent blond,” grew up as the daughter of a Southern Baptist pastor, in Terre Haute, Indiana.   Read the full story - https://www.newyorker.com/news-desk/on-religion/silence-is-not-spiritual-the-evangelical-metoo-movement.

The Future of African American History

As African American History Month comes to a close, let’s not close down our awareness and forward momentum. During the month of February, we bring into close focus the impact of our greatest leaders and changemakers who have help change the landscape of America over the past several decades. We remember the iconic words of Martin Luther King, Jr., the brave actions of Rosa Parks, the strong advocacy of Booker T. Washington, among many other impactful African Americans.

Our world needs these change-makers. We thrive on the smart, bold, and willing citizens who proudly stand and defend what they believe and pave the way for those coming behind them. We also must be willing to look at the future of Black History. But in order to look forward, we must take a moment to look back. This month evolved from a day. Alveda King said, “Black History Month began as Black History Day. It's now African American History Month; still playing catch up. We are praying for the day of not being colorblind...we long for living color, [the] One Race, One Blood of Acts 17:26.”

King makes a good point. Black History Month was established in 1976. After 42 years of celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of African Americans, we still see color.

Looking forward, we must do better to see others as our neighbors, our brothers and sisters, our family made from one blood. After all, history has proven that the color of our skin has never been a representation of the content of our character nor has our character been a representation of the color of our skin. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream has yet to be recognized. What will we do to take action to see this change through on his behalf? It’s not confined to February.

What will black history look like 50 years from now? Who are our change-makers of today? Are we encouraging today’s African Americans to take a stand and make a change that will be looked back on as a pivotal moment in America’s history? Will we still only examine those contributors in February?

It is difficult to ignore a major issue among African Americans: abortion. What if the leaders who have significantly changed the landscape of America had never been born? What if their mothers had decided their lives didn’t matter? With young black women the primary target of the abortion industry, we have to imagine that perhaps those innovators are dying before given the chance to live, before being given the chance to be great. “Some leaders may never have been born. We will never know, at least while we are still looking back,” said Alveda King. “In 50 years the millennials will be the elders looking back at a longer list of heroes past.”

In 50 years, we have hope that we will be able to look back on 2018 and have an even larger group of individuals, of all races, who have impacted race relations, the pro-life movement, and equality.

Scott Hamilton Gives Back

TODAY: How Scott Hamilton gives back to skating community

TODAY's Craig Melvin sits down with figure skating analyst Scott Hamilton to talk about how he's inspired so many people on and off the ice.

Scott Hamilton Was Demoted as an Olympic Broadcaster. Don’t Feel Sorry for Him.

For about a quarter of a century, you couldn’t watch Olympic figure skating without seeing Scott Hamilton.

There he was in the broadcast booth, his happy face and giddy voice connected to so many memorable moments. When a skater hit a big jump or won a gold medal, your TV would just about shake because of his excitement.

But not this time. Not with the rise of Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, a pair of sequined Olympians-turned-pop-culture-idols. They are NBC’s primary figure skating analysts at the Pyeongchang Games. Hamilton has been relegated to a show called “Olympic Ice” on the secondary NBC Sports Network, where he teams up with Tanith White, an Olympic silver medalist in ice dancing, and the sportscaster Liam McHugh.

Hamilton, 59, knew this change was coming. Even in Russia four years ago, he knew.

Vice President Mike Pence: “This is the Pro-Life Generation in America”

Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins led a round table discussion between Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen and Students for Life chapter leaders from across the country. Topping the list of concerns were violations of student free speech rights as administrators, professors and even fellow students have increased their attempts to squash pro-life conversations and campus engagement of Millennials and Generation Z, who are more likely than their parents to be pro-life.

“We are at a moment in time in which women are being empowered to speak about the issues they care about, and yet pro-life students face increasingly hostile attacks on their Constitutional rights. We also addressed the reasons why this mobilizing group of young voters wants to see Planned Parenthood defunded. It’s their money that’s being wasted on abortion mega providers rather than being invested in life-affirming care,” said Hawkins.

The closed door discussion included conversations with a number of students who talked about what they have endured as they stood for the rights of women and their pre-born infants on campuses across the country.

At a later reception for Pro-Life leaders, Vice President Pence called the Kristan and the students on stage to acknowledge and praise for their efforts in advancing life affirming values to the youth of America.
